Welcome to the Positively Pam (That's Me) Blog!

Why am I starting a second blog?

I'm typing this on Wednesday, October 28, at 11:13 PM. As of this writing, I am 43, I have been out of a full-time job since February 2014, I am not currently in a relationship, and I live at home with my 85 year-old mother.

To some people, these may all seem like reasons to curl up in a fetal position in a therapist's office, and I will admit it is not how I ever envisioned my life to currently be. However, learning about the law of attraction (and writing in general) has been my therapy for the past several years. Some may focus on the negative about my life (or what seems to be missing), but I choose to focus on the positive and what I have. I have my health (as does my mother.) I have freelance work that is helping to pay the monthly out-of-pocket health insurance and giving me additional marketing and copywriting experience. I have supportive friends and am making more through Meetup groups. I have supportive family members. We live in a lovely home in a beautiful town, in a beautiful, safe neighborhood. I have a still-new car that runs great and that I love driving.

I could go on and on...but the reason I'm starting this blog is because sometimes personal feelings and experiences spill over on Go Retro, my other blog about retro pop culture that I've had for the past several years (and continue to write for.) Sometimes they really need their own platform for anyone interested in the topic to read about it. Years ago I had a second blog that focused on positive thinking and my personal experiences (called Sunny Site Up. Yuck. Dreadful name!) And...sometimes I miss it. My hope for the Positively Pam Blog is that not only will I work my way through my law of attraction journey and solidify my positive emotions by writing about my experiences, but that others can learn about the law of attraction and staying positive as well. I'd love to be able to connect with other like-minded individuals and share success stories. Because this stuff really does work. I know it sounds "woo woo" and very much out there, but I was a big skeptic once (that became converted...which I'll post all about sometime.) I'll be sharing stories on here from time to time about manifestation success...things (and people) that I've already attracted in my eight years or so of practicing the LOA, and the ones still coming as they arrive!

I also envision the content here eventually encompassing health, nutrition, and fitness from time to time, since all of those things are important to keeping the mind "up" and healthy as well.

Don't get me wrong. I'm no Pollyanna. Like anyone else, I have my days where I get down and cry about something that's not -- or seemingly not -- going right in my life; I'm human. Sometimes it takes me a couple of days of working through my thoughts and feelings but fortunately, it never lasts long. I don't think I've ever gone through anything that would be considered or diagnosed as clinical depression, another thing I'm appreciative for. And...I can honestly say that a positive mindset has always helped me get back on track.

I look forward to having you on this journey with me...and hearing you share your own LOA success stories.
